Who we serve

Systems for firms that bill by the hour

Get the billable hours back from the admin that eats them.

How does Techmode help consultants & professional firms?

Techmode builds intake portals, document automation, deadline tracking and billing workflows for Kenyan law firms, accountancy practices, consultancies and advisory businesses. It suits firms where senior people spend billable time assembling documents and chasing paperwork. Projects start from KSh 80,000 and typically launch in two to six weeks.

What we hear

The week, as it actually goes.

A partner spends an hour assembling a document from last month's version.
What it costsThe most expensive hour in the firm, spent on the least valuable work in it.
Onboarding a client takes a week of emails asking for documents.
What it costsBillable work cannot start, and the client's first impression is of being chased.
Time is recorded from memory on Friday afternoon.
What it costsHours are lost in the recall, and the ones recorded are hard to defend.

What we install

The systems that fix that week.

01

Intake that collects everything once

A secure form that gathers details and documents, opens the file, and runs the conflict check as part of the same step.

02

Documents that assemble themselves

Your own precedents, filled from the matter record in minutes — then reviewed by a professional before it leaves the firm.

03

Deadlines that chase you

Court dates, filing deadlines and limitation periods with reminders that escalate until someone acknowledges them.

04

Billing that reflects the work

Time captured against the matter as it happens, and invoices raised from it rather than reconstructed.

What changes

Before, and after.

  • The old way

The engagement letter is last month's, with the names changed by hand.

    With Techmode

It assembles from the intake in minutes, and a professional reviews it.

  • The old way

A deadline depends on one person remembering to check a diary.

    With Techmode

It escalates until it is acknowledged, and the trail shows who did.

  • The old way

The client sends the same document three times to three people.

    With Techmode

They upload it once, and everyone who needs it has it.

Questions

Consultants & professional firms, answered.

  • Is client confidentiality safe in an automated system?

Access is granted per matter, every action is logged, transfers are encrypted and retention is set deliberately rather than by default. We will also tell you plainly where the data physically sits, because a claim of local residency we cannot deliver would help nobody.

  • Does software draft the documents?

It assembles them from your own precedents and the matter record. A professional reviews every one before it is relied on. The saving is the retyping and the checking for names left behind, not the judgement.

  • We are an accountancy practice, not a law firm — does this apply?

Yes. The pattern is the same — recurring documents, deadlines with consequences, and intake that takes too long. For accountancy work we usually start with client onboarding and the reconciliation side rather than drafting.

  • Will it work with our practice management software?

Usually. Most Kenyan firms run a mix of Word precedents, a shared drive and an accounting package, and we connect to what exists. Where a system has no workable integration path we will say so before you commit rather than after.

  • How do we know it is worth the fee?

We time the current drafting and intake process in the first week, so the comparison afterwards is a measurement. Firms with a high volume of similar matters see the most; a purely bespoke advisory practice sees the least, and we will tell you if you are the second kind.
